Other Awesome Kids Programs

New Mexico Kayak Instruction welcomes the opportunity to support kids in any way possible. We've donated lessons for raffles, silent auctions and other fund raising events.  We've customized lessons for after-school programs and offered discounted lessons to those who qualify for reduced meals at APS and RRPS. We've also customized programs for mentally and physically disabled, at-risk youths, church groups and specialized non-profits.

Kayaking offers something for everyone, whether it be a unique connection to the environment, an opportunity to rebuild strength, confidence or courage, an expression of freedom and mobility or the self-confidence that comes with the mastery of a new skill.  Contact Us with your special needs and we'll design a life-changing program specifically to meet your goals.

New Mexico Kayak Instruction is a proud supporter of the following organizations:

Active Knowledge - Our mission is to utilize cycling and multi-sports as a unique educational tool to develop young athletes intellectually, physically and socially. We will support their individual development and growth as positive contributing members of the community. Additionally, our goal with all ages is to educate them mentally and physically through activities, adventures and trips. We will use the planet earth as our playground.

Camp Rising Sun - Camp Rising Sun was founded in 2006 by a group of parents and professionals who wanted a summer camp experience for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the state of New Mexico. In 2009, Camp Rising Sun became part of the Autism programs at the University of New Mexico Center for Development and Disabilities. Our mission is to:

  • Provide a specialized summer camp experience for individuals with ASD
  • Provide an opportunity for students and professionals to gain experience working with those diagnosed with ASD
  • Provide respite for parents and caregivers of individuals with ASD

Children's Grief Center of New Mexico - Children's Grief Center of New Mexico is a safe place for children, teens, and adults to share feelings and experiences while grieving a death of a caregiver or sibling - through facilitated peer support groups.
