New Mexico Kayak Instruction has the largest selection of kayak rentals in New Mexico. With more than 30 2008-2010 whitewater, recreational, touring and fishing kayaks in Albuquerque, you're sure to find the perfect kayak for your next adventure!
Please Contact Us in advance to reserve your kayak, as we are often unavailable to rent kayaks on weekends, or at the last minute, due to our busy teaching schedule.

Kayak Rental FAQs
Yes, there are restrictions. Rented whitewater kayaks can be used only on sections of the rivers below:
Rio Grande:
- Rio Grande Racecourse (Put-in at Quartzite, take-out at County Line)
- Rio Grande State Park (Put-in at the Taos Junction Bridge, take-out at Quartzite)
- Rio Grande Middle Box (Putin below the confluence of the Red River to John Dunn Bridge take-out)
- Whiterock Canyon (Put-in at Buckman, take-out at Cochiti Lake)
- Rio Grande Bosque, Albuquerque (Put-in at Alameda, take-out at Tingley Beach)
- Wild & Scenic Section (Put-in below El Vado dam, take-out at the Chavez River Access point, below the Monestary)
- Day-use section (Put-in at the Chavez River Access point, below the Monestary, take-out at Big Eddy)
Rental prices assume the kayak will be picked up and dropped off at my location in Albuquerque. Additional arrangements may be made to deliver the kayak(s) to Santa Fe for an additional charge: $40 one-way (pick-up OR drop-off), or $60 round-trip (pick-up AND drop-off in Santa Fe).
